WAYNESBORO— The Waynesboro Area YMCA will hold its annual Holiday Craft Show on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.. The event is open to the public and features local vendors selling a variety of handcrafted goods, from holiday decorations to creative nail designs. Admission is free.
Vendor space is available for $35 for an 8’x10′ space in the gym. All fees from vendor registration support the YMCA “Partner with Youth” Program, which provides financial assistance to individuals and families who need help affording YMCA memberships and programs.
The Waynesboro Area YMCA Swim Team will host a concession area at the event, where food and drinks will be available for purchase.
In addition to the craft show, YMCA staff will be available to do tours of the facility and share information about upcoming programs and events.
“We want to show everyone all the great changes and additions at the Y, as we can continue to welcome everyone into the Y,” said Kathy Bostic, Outreach and Development Director at the YMCA. “And we also wanted the community to know that we think it’s important to support all the local vendors and that we support each other and the small businesses.”
The YMCA also provides financial assistance to over 350 individuals each year for memberships and programs, thanks to the generosity of donors to the Partners With Youth annual support campaign, events throughout the year, and the United Way of Franklin County.
“It is our belief that no one should be left out because of a lack of funds,” Bostic said. “We are able to provide more than $50,000 in scholarships annually.”
