WAYNESBORO — Men and boys in Waynesboro took a stand against sexual violence on Friday by walking a mile in red heels.
The second annual Waynesboro Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event was held downtown to raise awareness of the issue and funds for WIN Victim Services.
Participants registered and raised money from sponsors before walking the one-mile route in red heels. The walk ended with an after-party at Rough Edges Brewing.
“You know the old adage, ‘you don’t know what someone is going through until you walk a mile in their shoes,'” “This event brings that old saying to life!”
WIN Victim Services has proudly provided services to domestic and sexual violence victims, and their significant others, for over three decades. The organization provides services to both Franklin and Fulton County, Pennsylvania.
