5 Things to Do this Weekend

Support Rescues. The Antietam Humane Society will host a fall gala on Friday, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. at Red Heifer Winery. The gala is set to feature a dinner from Bub-B-Que, decadent desserts from The Cupcake Gypsy, drinks, music, dancing, and more. There will also be a silent auction and small games of chance. All proceeds from the event will go to help the Antietam Humane Society.

Celebrate History and Harvest. The 8th Annual Oktoberfest at Renfrew Museum & Park will be held Saturday, Sept. 16 from noon to 4 p.m. This family-friendly celebration of history and the harvest is a fundraiser to benefit Renfrew. Tours will be offered of the historic farmstead, live music, activities for all ages, and a biergarten with local craft beer. There will also be a silent auction and happy hour.

Belly up and Boogie. The Greencastle Grub & Pub will host a food truck festival and live music event on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The free event will take place on the block of North Carlisle Street, just off the Greencastle Square.

Go To a Carnival. Blue Ridge Fire and Rescue will host its annual carnival from Sept. 15-16, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Folks can enjoy carnival rides, games of chance, live music, and food.

Celebrate Fall. Fall Fest is a free family-friendly event in the Hagerstown City Park. Many activities in the park museums and historic sites will be held 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. and will be followed by a Fireworks show on City Park Lake. Entertainment will continue around the lake from 4 p.m.- 7:30 p.m..
