Chief James Sourbier and Community Liaison Kay Martin gave a presentation on what a Community Co-Responder is and what they do. Kay Martin is the co-responder assigned to the Waynesboro Police Department. The police departments in Greencastle and Washington Township share a co-responder, and Chambersburg has their own co-responder. Co-responders help individuals in our communities who are in need of sustained mental healthcare so that those individuals don’t become a drain on our law enforcement resources.
