CHAMBERSBURG– Franklin County employees raised $620 for Rabbitcares through the county’s monthly “dress down” fundraiser in July.

The fundraiser, which was held in July, allowed employees to dress down in exchange for a donation to Rabbitcares. A total of 123 employees from 22 departments participated in the fundraiser.

The Franklin County Commissioners and Keri Kenney, Franklin County human resources coordinator – training and development, presented the donation to Sherry Welsh, Rabbittransit.

Rabbitcares is a nonprofit organization that provides transportation assistance to people in need in Franklin County. The organization’s services include rides to medical appointments, grocery stores, and other essential destinations.

The donation from Franklin County employees will help Rabbitcares continue to provide its essential services to the community.
