WAYNESBORO- The community of Waynesboro is invited to join the local police, fire department and ambulance service for a night of fun and education at the annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 1. The event will take place at Memorial Park from 6 to 8 p.m. and will feature k-9 demonstrations, cookies, drinks, food and vendors. National Night Out is a nationwide initiative that aims to promote positive relationships between law enforcement and the public, as well as crime prevention and safety awareness. The event is free and open to all ages.
