WAYNESBORO- A small gathering of Ford model-T cars were at Cobblestone Hotel on Saturday, June 17 after the Father’s Day Car Show in Waynesboro.
“The Model-T was released on October 1, 1908, and was a self-starting vehicle with a left-sided steering wheel, featuring an enclosed four-cylinder engine with a detachable cylinder head and a one-piece cylinder block. Fashioned from vanadium alloy steel, it offered superior strength despite its light weight. One key to its early success was a simple thing like ample ground clearance, allowing it to deal ‘with abysmal rural roads”, according to history.com.
