Pretty Paris is Pet of the Week!
Paris came to us 11/23/2021 and has been with us over 540 days in search of her forever home. She has made a lot of progress in her time with us, but would do better in a relaxed home with plenty of time to get herself comfortable as the activity of the shelter still makes her nervous.
Paris is very curious about other cats and does prefer them on the calmer side. We have never seen her hiss or swat at any other kitties but she will try to hide if a very energetic cat approaches her. Paris is not shy to show when she is done receiving affection and will swat if she is too uncomfortable! Due to this, we would recommend any children in the home be old enough to know that Paris will need her own space and time to adjust to a new environment and people.
This girl loves to receive extra snacks and will happily purr and roll around in her bed while she waits for treats or canned food! Paris likes to be gently pet but is not a huge fan of being picked up. She enjoys receiving attention on her own terms, and while it does not show well in the commotion of the shelter, she is a very easy-going, sweet kitty.
At seven-years old, Paris does spend a lot of her time napping and especially enjoys cozying up in a soft bed! She does get her little spurts of energy and loves to toss around catnip toys and crinkly balls!
