WAYNESBORO- The Rotary Club of Waynesboro submitted the following club news:
In Franklin County, the SVA provides youth camps and programs, and 30,000 free meals are served yearly. Also, assistance is rendered for rents, prescription costs, emergency food, disaster relief, gas money, plus a safe harbor location exists for estranged parents to see their children. Other types of assistance and programs are also provided. Chris noted the goal is not to provide band-aids but rather, to perform major surgery to assist the person to overcome problems and regain a normal life and find salvation.
