Meet our sweet faced pet of the week, Alexa! This sweet girl loves to run around the yard and will grab and toss toys when she has the zoomies, and loves to be outside and go on walks! Alexa needs to reduce her current weight of 71 pounds by a good bit to be healthy and fit. So thankfully her love of the outdoors will help her stay active! Alexa knows sit and is working on walking politely on leash.
While amazingly sweet and playful, Alexa has been known to resource guard her food and treats in her previous home. We are recommending she be the only animal in the home as she has not done well with dogs or cats while here with us. Alexa guards from people as well, but her previous adopters stated they were working on this behavior and that it is manageable. Any children living or visiting in the home need to understand and be respectful of Alexa’s space when she is eating. Alexa loves kids and she loves to be brushed and groomed daily!
