WAYNE HEIGHTS—Springtime is here and Washington Township residents are reminded that many home projects require a permit.
“Section 360-120 of the township code requires a Land Use Permit be obtained from the township before any construction or development is undertaken within any district,” said Lloyd Perkins, Washington Township code enforcement officer. “Projects such as the installation of replacement windows in your home, the placement of a utility shed in your backyard or the construction of a patio and retaining wall are just a few examples of projects that require a Land Use Permit.”
Perkins said residents who are unsure about whether or not their project requires a permit or if they have questions about the permitting process may contact the township office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
