WAYNESBORO—Area families are invited to attend The Institute’s monthly StoryWalk® Sundays adventure for kids on Sunday, March 12 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Pine Hill Recreation Area.
Kids join a guided walk and activities along the story trail as they read a story book, then make a special craft project to take home.
The featured storybook is “Happy Springtime!” by Kate McMullan.
“This beautifully colorful picture book celebrates the coming of spring and the plant and animal life that returns after the cold days of winter,” said Pam Rowland, The Institute’s education director.
The event is free, but pre-registration is required by March 9. Register online at: www.NatureAndCultureInstitute.org.
For more information, email [email protected] or call 717-762-0373. Limited to 20 children.
All families are welcome, but activities are geared for preschool and elementary age kids.
Pine Hill’s StoryWalk® trail, an Institute project, was funded in part by Summit Endowment, Marge Kiersz and Rouzerville Business Association, with in-kind support from Washington Township, Hopewell Manufacturing, Waynesboro Area School District “Be the Village,” and Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library.
