WAYNESBORO–The Christmas season begins this weekend in the borough with the annual tree lighting followed by the Christmas parade.
The tree lighting celebration begins downtown at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18. The event will include a Main Street Market with vendors from 4:40-8 p.m., musical entertainment and extended hours for many businesses and art galleries. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. on the square.
The annual Christmas parade will be held Saturday Nov. 19, at 2 p.m.
This year’s parade route will begin at CV Avenue and head East, then turn South on Clayton Avenue and then turn East on E. Third Street, and terminate to the rear of the Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
