Hope was surrendered to the shelter because she was not getting along with the other older dog in the home. She is a 9-month-old terrier mix who is super sweet. She loves getting attention and going out to the play yard to run. Hope knows how to sit and will work for treats. She will need someone who understands the time and patience needed to train a puppy. Due to her past history with other dogs and high prey drive with cats, being the only pet in the home would be best for Hope. Hope has never been around children, so an age restriction may apply, so please discuss this with shelter staff. Hope would love to find her second chance. Maybe that could be with you.
Trey came into the shelter as a stray, so we don’t know a lot about him. We think he’s about 6 years old and when he first arrived, we noticed he had a problem with his foot. When we examined him, we discovered that Trey has a toe that was broken and sits up higher than the rest. Because of that, the toe nail had grown into the pad of his foot. We gave him antibiotics to help with the ingrown toe nail once it was removed. Trey will need someone who will keep a close eye on that toe to make sure this doesn’t happen again. He is a sweet guy who likes attention, but prefers to keep all his feet on the ground or be up with you on his own terms. Do you have the right spot for Trey?
