SHIPPENSBURG — The Shippensburg University men’s soccer team played the Shepherd Rams to a 2-2 draw on Saturday afternoon in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division contest.
Shippensburg (2-3-2, 0-3-2 PSAC East) opened the scoring early when junior forward Seth Crabbe (Kent, England/Wrotham School) deposited the ball inside the right post off a cross from senior forward Harry Kershaw (Wardle, England/Wardle Academy).
Shepherd (1-5-3, 0-4-1) wouldn’t answer with a goal of its own until the 60th minute when Justin Langon chipped a through pass from Steven Choque over sophomore goalkeeper Cody Willoughby (York/York Suburban).
The Raiders took the lead in the 76th minute when sophomore forward Omario Duncan (Chambersburg/Chambersburg Area) drilled in a rebound off a saved header from sophomore defender Nathan Weldon (York/Susquehannock).
The Rams answered just 23 seconds later as Justin Langon weaved his way through the SU defense and snuck the ball between the legs of Willoughby to tie the game.
Shippensburg finished the contest with a 19-9 advantage in shots and an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal.
The Raiders return to the pitch at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when they travel to Bloomsburg.
