Looking for a new friend? The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter is featuring these Pets of the Week. For more information, visit http://www.cvas-pets.org/ or call 717-263-5791.

PoPo came into the shelter because his owners could no longer afford him. He is one good looking black-and-white boy who is about 2 years old. At the shelter, he wasn’t too sure about other cats, but was really nice with the people. This cute guy just needs a second chance. Could you be the person to provide him one?

Magpie came to the shelter as a stray, and was very scared when she first arrived. With some time, baby talk, and treats Magpie learned to trust the staff. She has since come out of her shell and is a very silly girl! She does know sit, but you have to get her tail to stop wagging long enough for her to do so! She is a “velcro” pup with her people and wants to be wherever you are! Magpie loves to play in the outside play yard! She especially likes to play “keep away” which she thinks is great fun, however, due to this we are requiring her potential home to have a fenced-in yard so that Magpie has a safe area to run and have fun! Magpie is still on the shy side with new people, so potential adopters will need to meet with her several times to establish a relationship with her before she goes home with them. Due to no past history, an age restriction for children in the home may apply, so please discuss this with shelter staff. Could Magpie be the pup for you?
