WAYNESBORO—In the tradition of old Hollywood, Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library is hosting a murder mystery event at the Waynesboro Country Club on Saturday, July 16, beginning with cocktails at 6 p.m.

Come to this year’s quintessential whodunnit thriller “Best Laid Plans” at the estate of Sir Warren Peace and get thrown into a night of mystery, intrigue, and murder you will never forget. With a killer crowd of people just waiting for murder to arrive on the scene, this night will keep everyone looking over their shoulders and guessing who the next victim will be! Bribe suspects for clues and gather information to uncover the unhinged guest who is whacking all the invitees. Just be careful, because you could be next!

This fundraising event for the library features a menu of Hollywood actor favorites, including Boris Karlofff’s guacamole, Dean Martin’s burgers and bourbon, and Elvis Presley’s fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

Dress your best in period costume or come in evening wear and suits and be entertained as The Murder Mystery Company performs “Best Laid Plans.” Costumes optional, but encouraged.

The event will inclcude a 50/50 raffle, prize basket raffles, and pictures with Marilyn Monroe or Elvis Presley. A cash bar will be available.

Tickets are $100 per person or $750 for a table of eight and include hors d’oeuvres, dinner stations, dessert and champagne. All proceeds for this fundraiser event will benefit the library.
