BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT—Employees from SGI’s Charmian Plant in Blue Ridge Summit and Hagerstown-based Technical Center and Corporate Headquarters recently volunteered during the United Way of Franklin County’s May of Caring.

SGI spent the day giving the 123 Walnut St. office of Waynesboro Community and Human Services a little TLC — painting, installing new drop ceiling panels, and removing weeds.

SGI is a leading mining and mineral processing company specializing in the development of roofing products, building materials, and soil amendments for agriculture. Powered by more than 630 employees, SGI has additional locations in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; Annapolis, Missouri; Pembine, Wisconsin; and Ione, California.
