ROUZERVILLE—A small group of Santa’s elves recently descended on the Waynesboro Walmart to shop to make a child’s holiday brighter.

The Rotary Club of Waynesboro works with Waynesboro Community & Human Services and others each year to collect items for Toys for Children.

“What a joyful task in the company of fellow community servants,” said Toys for Children Coordinator, Tracy Holiday. “Waynesboro Rotarians were supported once again by members of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority as we scoured the toy section at Walmart to satisfy our wish lists.”

The project will help brighten Christmas morning for 171 local children, in partnership with WCHS.

“It’s gratifying to bring together this loyal, cheerful team for such a heartwarming happening,” Holiday said.
