WAYNESBORO – The Waynesboro Area Senior High School gymnastics team swept a tri-meet on Wednesday, Jan. 25, inside the WASHS gymnasium.
Waynesboro defeated Central, 134.85-117.3, and Northern Bedford, 134.85-60.95.
The Maidens had 13 gymnasts competing and were led by Emma Hotchkiss. Hotchkiss won the all-around with a score of 34.25. She placed second on vault with an 8.75, third on bars with 7.85, first on beam with 8.9, and fourth place on the floor exercise with 8.4.
Allegra Clothier won the vault with nine points. She was second on bars (8.25), third on beam (8.45) and sixth on floor (8.3). The scores added up to an all-around total of 34 and good enough for second place behind Hotchkiss.
Waynesboro’s Kayden Kettoman finished third all-around with a score of 33.7. Kettoman won on bars with a 9. She placed third on vault (8.5) and fourth on beam (8.45).
Teammate Aubrey Willequer placed fourth all-around (32.45). Her top finish was fourth on bars (7.85).
Lily McFarland of Waynesboro placed third on vault behind Hotchkiss and Clothier with a score of 8.5.
