WAYNESBORO – The Waynesboro Indians hosted the Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils in a varsity baseball game on Thursday, April 3.
It had rained earlier in the day but stopped raining to give the soil time to dry out.
As the game started and progressed, it kept pouring on the Tribe, who fell behind 3-0 in the second inning before getting a run back in the bottom of the third inning as Calvin Myers singled and came around to score on a single off the bat of Eric Knepper.
But it was all Greencastle after that. The Blue Devils plated five runs In the top of the fifth inning to take a commanding 8-1 lead.
Waynesboro was held to just three hits in the game.

The Tribe won the next two games against Big Spring (3-2) and South Western (9-3). Prior to losing to Greencastle, Waynesboro fell against Northern York, 3-2 in eight innings.
