WAYNESBORO – Spring has sprung, well, almost.
While the next season doesn’t actually begin until Friday, March 20, high school baseball season begins Monday, March 16.
And, for Waynesboro, one of the state’s most consistent sports programs, the goal is always the same: play for a postseason berth.
It all begins at home against East Pennsboro at 4:15 p.m. In fact, the Indians host seven of their first nine games of the season.
Senior ace pitcher John Kahl leads the team’s returning starters. Also returning are Riley Eaton, Nate Nystrom, Ryan Jenkins, Jack Knepper, and Rylan Nichols.
The returning starters, combined with the remainder of the roster, will vie for a Mid-Penn Colonial Division title and a berth in the District 3 playoffs.
