BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT – The Blue Ridge Summit Free Library held its fifth annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale on May 10 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Plaza. The event featured a variety of plants, including annuals, perennials, native species, hanging baskets, vegetables, herbs, patio planters and houseplants.
Paul Pinkerton, a library board member, said the sale served as a fundraiser for the library and provided “perfect gifts for Mother’s Day.” Shoppers browsed the selection in search of unique plants and thoughtful presents for the holiday.
The plant sale has become a tradition at the library, drawing community members each year and supporting library programs through proceeds from the event.
