William Howard Myers, 85 of Hagerstown, MD died on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Doey’s House. He was the husband of the late Patricia Ann Myers, who preceded him in death on January 7, 2018. Born March 5, 1936 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Francis Russell Myers and Helen Ivy Hall Myers Garretson and step-father Raymond Garretson. William graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1955 and served in the U.S. Army. William was a member of Otterbein UMC, Friendship Lodge #84 A.F.&A.M. and the Hagerstown Elks Lodge #378. William was employed by Potomac Edison and retired from the City of Hagerstown Light Department in 1992. Surviving him are his daughter; sister Sandra Myers Mercer and husband Charles; half-brothers Rodney and Timothy Warrenfeltz; nephew John Mercer, and cousins Roland Myers and Cheryl Shoemaker. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
