Mr. Michael Halgash, Jr., 81, of Hagerstown, died Monday, March 23, 2015, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown. He was the husband of the late Marion Maxine Clopper Halgash, who died June 9, 2012.
Born July 18, 1933, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Michael, Sr., and Margie Eleanor Barrow Halgash. He was a United State Army veteran.
He was employed with Potomac Edison and Allegheny Power Companies.
Mr. Halgash was a member of Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion, Hagerstown.
He is survived by his son, Michael Halgash, III, and wife Magda of Falling Waters, West Virginia; his grandson, Michael A. Rock; as well as his sister, Betty A. Burger of Hagerstown; and nieces.
The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Friday, March 27, beginning at 10:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. James F. Gano officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
