The Greencastle-Antrim boys basketball team is now in the driver’s seat for the Mid-Penn Colonial Division.
The Blue Devils swept their division games last week to improve to 7-0 in the Colonial, ahead of both East Pennsboro (5-2) and Northern (5-2). Greencastle has won three of its last four games.
Waynesboro’s swimming squad had an undefeated week of its own, with the girls and boys pulling off sweeps over Northern and East Pennsboro.
It’s been a long wait in indoor track and field, but Chambersburg has finally joined the party. The Trojans kicked off their season at the Dickinson New Year Invitational, with Julian Clark (3,200) and Daniel Casagrandi (400) earning wins for the boys, and Natalie Quinn posting victory for the girls in the 1,600.
Smithsburg’s boys indoor track squad earned a team championship at the HCC Warrior Invitational, with Luke Gentzel (500) and Dylan Herbst (1,600) leading the way with victories. North Hagerstown’s girls squad captured the team title at the CCBC-Essex Knights Invite, with the Hubs getting wins from Anna Chamberlin (55 hurdles, high jump), Mackenzie Philp (1,600), Anna Ramanan (800), Tarji Nartey (500), and Annabelle Schaberl (55).
