High School Scores and Standings from Feb. 2-7

After flexing its muscle in dual meets, Chambersburg’s boys swimming team had a chance to showcase its talents on a postseason stage at the Mid-Penn Championships.

The Trojans posted 333.5 points to finish second in the team standings behind Cumberland Valley (346). Chambersburg got wins from Amir Tasker (200 freestyle, 100 butterfly), Cullen McGraw (500 freestyle), Cristian Pong (100 backstroke), and the 200 medley relay team of Luke Ritchie, Ethan White, Pong, and Tasker.

Chambersburg’s girls were led by Calla Hoffman, who took first in the 100 butterfly and second in the 100 backstroke.

It was a big week for Greencastle-Antrim on both the basketball court and wrestling mat. The Blue Devil boys hoopers extended their winning streak to six games last week and need just a win over Shippensburg on Monday to cap off a championship season in the Mid-Penn Colonial Division. Greencastle’s girls went 2-1 on the hardwood last week and are holding on to the 14th and final spot in the District 3-5A power rankings.

On the mat, Greencastle’s boys wrapped up their dual season with a win and a 12-7 record. The Blue Devil girls competed at the Southern Huntingdon Tournament and left an impression with a fourth-place finish in the field of 16 teams. Aniuta Pavlii (106) and Brandy Trail (136) both earned runner-up finishes.

Below is a sport-by-sport look at how teams in the Local.News1 coverage area performed last week:
