The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has lifted the Tier 1 vehicle restriction and 45 mph speed limit restriction implemented on roads in the southcentral PennDOT District 8 region consisting of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties.
No vehicle or speed restrictions remain in place in the district.
Although PennDOT crews have been treating roadways, the department’s primary goal is to keep roads passable, and they will not completely free of ice and snow. PennDOT will continue to treat roadways until roads are clear.

Emergency crews and public works departments remain active throughout the region as snowfall continues into Sunday evening, with wind gusts adding to drifting and visibility concerns. Officials remind residents to stay indoors and allow road crews space to clear primary and secondary routes.
