It’s been an unforgettable season on the auto racing circuit for Trevor Gach, so forgive the 15-year-old Chambersburg driver if he wants to pack in as much competition as possible before the 2025 dream ride comes to an end.
Competing at McGrewBid Motoplex on a chilly Saturday, Gach cashed in on his 11th victory of the season. The was a continuation of what has been a superb season for Gach, who has qualified for 42 features and landed Top 5 finishes in 33 of those races.
Gach’s path to Victory Lane last weekend in the 600cc Wingless Micros was no easy ride. He had to drive from sixth to third in his heat race just to qualify for a favorable spot in the redraw. Gach pulled the No. 1 starting spot, and that’s where he remained for the entire 20-lap feature, besting Cayden Blair and Chase Robinson.
Todd Walls, of Greencastle, had a brilliant day racing in the PA Micro Midgets 500cc program. Walls blasted off for victory in his eight-lap heat race, before driving from ninth to third in the 20-lap feature. Walls was chased to the finish by Chambersburg’s Keenan Wade (15th) and Saint Thomas’ Brandon Scofield (DNF for 21st).
Racing season is over for most tracks, including local venues Path Valley and Hagerstown Speedways, but BAPS Motor Speedway still has two race programs left on its schedule for Nov. 15 and 22.
Below is a speedway-by-speedway, feature-by-feature look at races from last weekend that included drivers from the Local.News1 coverage area:
