CVBA honors regional leaders at annual meeting

CHAMBERSBURG – The Cumberland Valley Business Alliance recognized two regional leaders at its annual meeting this morning, sponsored by WellSpan Health, celebrating individuals whose work and service have strengthened the business community across Franklin County.

Garon Gembe, president of Graphics Universal, was named the 2025 Business Person of the Year. With nearly four decades in the printing industry, Gembe has led the Greencastle-based company through significant growth, technological upgrades and expansion into new markets. Under his leadership, the company has posted more than 200 percent sales growth, added advanced digital capabilities and cultivated a workplace culture known for loyalty and long-term commitment.

Gembe has also played a consistent role in community development efforts. He helped found the Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation and continues to support youth programs, community events and regional economic initiatives. His leadership and service were cited as central to earning this year’s top business recognition.

“Garon represents the very best of our regional business community’s visionary leadership, a strong commitment to people and a deep belief in service,” Cumberland Valley Business Alliance President Stephen Christian said. “His impact is felt not only within his company but across the entire Cumberland Valley.”

CVBA names ambassador of the year

The alliance also recognized Grace Waller as the 2025 ambassador of the year. Waller owns What a Wallerful Feeling Company and publishes Chambersburg Neighbors and Shippensburg Neighbors. She is well known for her reliability and steady involvement in CVBA events as well as for organizing quarterly service projects that support local nonprofit organizations.
