Four Waynesboro Area Senior High School students have been awarded scholarships by Waynesboro College Club. They include:
Jadyn Horner ($5,000 recipient), who will attend the Pennsylvania College of Technology to become a registered dental hygienist, while working toward a degree in science
Tristin Heyward ($4,000 recipient), who will be enrolled in an accelerated program at Shenandoah University, where she will study exercise science and physical therapy
Adison Gladfelter ($2,500 recipient), who will attend the University Park campus of Penn State University. Adison will begin his college career this summer and study finance
Allison Sawicki ($2,500 recipient), who will attend Shepherd University and major in political science, with a concentration in legal studies
The winners were announced at the club’s 88th annual banquet May 18 in Waynesboro Country Club. Officers of the club for the 2022-23 year include: Sandy Fisher, president; Lynn MacBride, vice president; Chris Bradley, secretary; and Ruth Strausbaugh, treasurer.
