CHAMBERSBURG – In his own expression of gratitude, Chef Matt Kerr—with the support of Waffles and Shine—is sharing a Thanksgiving meal with people that need some extra help. On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, Kerr—also known as Chef Pappy—is offering a free take-out Thanksgiving Dinner. Dinner includes turkey with stuffing and gravy along with sweet potatoes, a roll and green beans. Dessert is pumpkin pie.
The take-out meal is available at 109 S. Main St., the location of Waffles and Shine—the former Molly Pitcher Waffle Shop. Meals will be given away from 10 a.m. to noon or until they are gone.
This is the first year Chef Pappy is doing the Thanksgiving giveaway. Cooking is Chef Pappy’s passion. So is giving back.
“I am so happy to do this and grateful to Waffles and Shine for their support,” said Chef Pappy.
