CHAMBERSBURG – The Chambersburg Police Department has recognized two of its own for outstanding service at an annual awards ceremony. Pfc. Victor Dimoff was named Officer of the Year, and Pfc. Detective Matt Wade received the Detective of the Year honor.
Both officers were acknowledged at the June 16 event for their professionalism, dedication to the community and excellence in their duties, according to department officials.
The awards ceremony also saw the Borough Council present a unit commendation to the Criminal Investigations Division for its exemplary performance and dedication. The division was recognized for its role in the arrest and closure of numerous felony cases between March 10, 2024, and May 4, 2025.
Department leadership extended gratitude to the families of officers, noting their sacrifices and support as vital to the department’s success.

Patrol Fleet Gets New Look
In a separate announcement, the Chambersburg Police Department informed the public of a new paint scheme and graphics for its patrol vehicles. The change is first visible on a recently deployed K9 vehicle, with the updated design set to become the standard for all patrol vehicles as they are replaced.
While older vehicles will remain in service for now, three additional patrol vehicles are scheduled to receive the new look soon. Department officials said the new scheme will help save taxpayer dollars by streamlining maintenance and replacement costs.
The Chambersburg Police Department encourages residents to engage with officers and hopes the refreshed appearance will foster positive community relations.
