With each passing week at Path Valley Speedway, it’s becoming more and more apparent that the points champion of the Thunder Cars division will be one of three drivers: Jeremy Eutzy, Jackson Eutzy or Kevin Bard. With 178 points, Bard was trailing the father-son team — Jeremy led the way with 182 points and his son Jackson was just behind with 181 — going into Tuesday’s feature at Spring Run.
And after Bard scored a $500 win over the 26-car field, it’s safe to say that the points race is tighter than ever. Bard’s second trip to Victory Lane in as many weeks helped the driver to gain some ground, but the Eutzys weren’t far behind in Tuesday’s feature, as Jeremy claimed third and Jackson took the fourth spot. Doug Sales, of Saint Thomas, took ninth.
Also at Path Valley, the Super Late Models were in action as part of Appalachian Mountain Speedweek. Greencastle’s Gary Stuhler took eighth in the race, which was won by Mason Zeigler over Rick Eckert and Dylan Yoder.
While Path Valley was able to squeeze in a race program last week, most other tracks weren’t as lucky, as rainouts canceled racing at Hagerstown, Port Royal, Williams Grove and Lincoln Speedways.
Below is a track-by-track, feature-by-feature look at races from last week that included drivers from the Local.News1 coverage area:
