CHAMBERSBURG – The Union Soccer Club, based in Chambersburg, continues to roar at the halfway point in the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League season.
After play last weekend, the USC boasts five of the area’s 10 unbeaten squads: The U11 Arsenal (2-0-1), U11 Vikings (3-0), U12 United (1-0), U13 Lightning (2-0), and U13 Eclipse (3-0).
Another program in the CPYSL, Greencastle United Soccer Club, has an undefeated squad of its own in the U13 Destroyers (1-0-2).
Smithsburg and Waynesboro, competitors in the United Recreational Soccer League, also have teams that have yet to taste defeat.
Smithsburg’s Lingg Purple (2-0), Sweitzer (2-0-1), and Bailey (2-0) are all undefeated, as are Waynesboro’s Maidens (3-0).
