GREENCASTLE – A 39-year-old Boonsboro, Maryland, woman was hospitalized with head and leg injuries on Friday, April 25, after being struck by a car in Greencastle, police reported. The accident happened at 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Allison Street and Tyrone Street, Greencastle police said.
First responders immediately rendered aid to Margo Cook, and she was taken to Meritus Medical Center for initial treatment. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was subsequently transferred to the University of Maryland Medical Center’s Baltimore Shock Trauma Unit for further medical care, where she is listed in serious condition.
The driver involved remained on scene, and no additional injuries were reported. The incident is under investigation, and further details will be released as the investigation progresses, police reported.
