In the weeks, months, and years to come, members of the North Hagerstown girls volleyball team will look back on this season with nothing but fond memories.
But for now, the Hubs are feeling a sting.
North Hagerstown’s undefeated season, and a bid for a fourth-straight MPSSAA 3A state title, came tumbling down with a 3-1 loss — 25-23, 26-24, 20-25, and 27-25 — to Howard in last weekend’s state championship game. The Hubs conclude their fall with a 19-1 record.
North Hagerstown’s volleyball squad was the last remaining area team still alive in the fall sports postseason. The campaigns for our two remaining football teams, North Hagerstown and South Hagerstown, both came to an end last week in the second round of regionals.
Our scores and standings board will take a brief hiatus before returning late this month for the start of the winter sports season.
