WAYNESBORO – “Twister” and “Twisters” will be featured at Waynesboro Theatre, 75 W. Main St.

Friday, Sep. 27, 7 p.m. and Saturday, Sep. 28, 3 p.m. “Twister (1996)” (PG-13 2:00) During the approach of the most powerful storm in decades, university professor Dr. Jo Harding (Helen Hunt) and an underfunded team of students prepare the prototype for Dorothy, a ground-breaking tornado data-gathering device conceived by her estranged husband, Bill (Bill Paxton). When Harding tells Bill that Dorothy is ready for testing — and that their privately funded rival Dr. Jonas Miller (Cary Elwes) has stolen the idea and built his own — Bill rejoins the team for one last mission.

Saturday, Sep. 28, 7 p.m. & Sunday, Sep. 29, 4 p.m. “Twisters (2024)” (PG-13 2:00) Haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado, Kate Cooper gets lured back to the open plains by her friend, Javi, to test a groundbreaking new tracking system. She soon crosses paths with Tyler Owens, a charming but reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures. As storm season intensifies, Kate, Tyler and their competing teams find themselves in a fight for their lives as multiple systems converge over central Oklahoma.
