WAYNESBORO — The Pickle In The Park Tournament took place on Aug. 11, at Waynesboro Memorial Park, drawing a vibrant crowd of pickleball enthusiasts. Organized by the Waynesboro Areas Business Education Community Foundation, the event featured both competitive play and community spirit, running from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants engaged in various divisions, including men’s, women’s and mixed doubles, with a total of 52 teams signed up. The tournament not only showcased athletic talent but also provided a festive atmosphere with food trucks, prizes and swag bags for all players.

The event aimed to promote both education and community engagement through sports, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to local initiatives. Players and spectators alike enjoyed the friendly competition and camaraderie that pickleball fosters.
