Greencastle-Antrim School District announces orientation dates for new school year

GREENCASTLE – The Greencastle-Antrim School District has for orientation sessions and the first day of classes for the 2024-2025 school year.

Greencastle-Antrim High School will hold its 9th grade and new student orientation on Wednesday, Aug. 14. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with schedule pickup in the cafeteria, followed by an orientation session at 6 p.m. in the Shockey Family Center for Performing Arts. Classroom visitation is scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

For returning high school students, an open house is set for Monday, Aug. 19. Schedule pickup starts at 1:30 p.m., with orientation at 1:45 p.m. and classroom visits from 2 to 3 p.m.

Greencastle-Antrim Middle School will host its orientation and open house on Thursday, Aug. 15. Sixth-grade students and parents will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m., while seventh- and eighth-grade orientations run from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The first day of school for all Greencastle-Antrim students is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 22. These events aim to help students and families prepare for the new academic year, offering opportunities to meet teachers, locate classrooms and familiarize themselves with school facilities.
