WAYNESBORO- The Waynesboro Area School District (WASD) received a $72,000 dual enrollment grant to help cover college tuition, fees and books for students at Waynesboro Area Senior High School (WASHS). The district was notified of the grant award in May 2023 and the funding arrived in February 2024. WASHS students and families were then informed they could apply for reimbursement by submitting a form along with required receipts. Beginning June 1st, 2024, the district distributed reimbursement checks to those who had applied. WASD expressed delight at being selected for the grant, which allowed the district to support WASHS students and families pursuing education beyond high school.
