WAYNESBORO- On Saturday, June 8, the Greater Waynesboro Area will once again celebrate the great outdoors with the Eighth Annual Mason-Dixon Appalachian Trail Outdoor Festival. Held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Red Run Park in Rouzerville, this free event promises a day of music, activities, vendors, and outdoor education for hikers and nature enthusiasts of all ages.

The festival, organized by the local Appalachian Trail Community, aims to provide opportunities for attendees to learn more about the Appalachian Trail in the Mason-Dixon area and enjoy a variety of outdoor-themed activities. Red Run Park, a family-friendly community oasis, serves as the perfect backdrop for this annual celebration.

Music will be a highlight of the event, with performances by Mountain Air, Trail Troubadours, and the bluegrass band Shade Tree Collective. Attendees can also participate in free yoga sessions led by Simone of Flowering Heart Yoga or visit the Antietam Humane Society’s adoptable pets.

A diverse range of food vendors, including Antietam Dairy ice cream, J&M BBQ, Bernard’s Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Brio’s drinks and pastries, and Cracken’ Catering’s Cajun delights, will tempt visitors’ taste buds throughout the day.
