Last Meeting’s Program (3.5.24 bulletin)
Last week’s speaker was Kara Ferraro undergoing that moment of excitement, fun and perhaps a bit of dreaded trepidation – known as the Classification Talk. Kara is the Development Director of Summit Health Foundation, a division of WellSpan Philanthropy. She graduated from York College and majored in recreation management and environmental studies. She became the Adams County YWCA’s Director of Public Relations and grant officer. Following that, she was hired by the Strawberry Hill Foundation. During her employment there, she received her master’s degree in organizational leadership. Kara, a great enthusiast of the outdoors, loves hiking, tenting, camping and all things nature. In fact, she got married in Arcadia National Park in Maine. As mentioned earlier, she is currently the Director of Development for Summit Health Foundation, a division of WellSpan Philanthropy, which is a community-based, not-for-profit organization that exists to inspire gifts and grants from individuals, foundations, corporations, and other entities to support the health and well-being of people in Franklin County and communities in adjacent Cumberland County. The Foundation, among other programs, provides scholarship funds for future nurses and physicians. For more information, contact Kara.
