Meet our Pet of the Week, Simba!
This handsome pup came to us in November 2023 after he was left overnight in the shelter’s play yard. Unfortunately, Simba has not had much interest since coming to our adoption center and staff cannot understand why since Simba is one of the sweetest pups around!
Simba is an absolute sweetheart and gets excited to meet everyone and anyone! We quickly learned in his time with us that the quickest way to Simba’s heart is through treats and stuffed toys. If you have a stuffed animal or rope toy Simba wants to do nothing more than play tug-of-war! This sweet boy loves butt scratches and belly rubs and will flop over by your feet when he is looking for attention.
Simba walks very nicely on leash and only needs a couple or reminders occasionally when he gets very excited to go out! Simba currently knows sit and is looking for a patient owner to continue his training.
We would recommend Simba be the only animal in his forever home but would be willing to try a meet-and-greet with a potential doggy pal. Simba has not tested well with cats and would do best in a home without any feline friends in it.
