MONT ALTO- Idea TestLab is a virtual accelerator program designed to help Pennsylvania-based entrepreneurs better understand the customer problem they’re trying to solve and how to provide value in a differentiated way.

Hosted by Mont Alto LaunchBox and York LaunchBox, the 4-week program offers 1:1 coaching and is open to all Pennsylvania-based entrepreneurs, regardless of their affiliation with Penn State.

The program includes live weekly sessions, pre-recorded videos for homework, and requires a time commitment of 7-12 hours per week.

It is best suited for individuals or teams who have identified a problem they want to explore as a potential business and need help to clearly define their target customer and the value they can provide.

The program does not take equity in the participants’ companies and is not suitable for traditional businesses such as restaurants or retail stores.

By the end of the program, participants will have verified their assumptions about the problem, have a clear statement of the problem or job their customer is trying to accomplish, and understand what motivates their customer to keep looking for a solution.

The program is a regional collaboration between the Harrisburg, Mont Alto, and York LaunchBoxes and is co-facilitated by LaunchBox staff, with 1:1 coaching provided by experienced startup coaches who are business leaders and entrepreneurs
