WAYNESBORO– Waynesboro Area School District (WASD) will host a guest speaker with Greencastle-Antrim and Tuscarora on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 8 a.m. in the Oyer Auditorium.
George Couros is a worldwide leader in the area of innovative teaching, learning, and leading. He is the author of several books, including The Innovator’s Mindset; Empower Learning, Unleash Talent, and Lead a Culture of Creativity, Innovate Inside the Box, and his latest release, “Because of a Teacher” and “ Because of a Teacher 2.”
Couros is a passionate advocate for student-centered learning and believes that all students can learn and achieve at high levels. He is a strong believer in the power of technology to transform education and create more personalized learning experiences for students.
In his 20-plus years in the field of education, Couros has worked at all levels of school, from K-12 as a teacher, technology facilitator, and school and district administrator. He is currently an Adjunct Instructor with the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania.
Couros’ visit to WASD is part of the district’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative and engaging learning experiences for all students. The event is free and open to the public.
