WAYNESBORO- Waynesboro American Legion Post 15 was recently awarded the Department New Home Post Award for the Class 5 post size. The award recognizes the Legion’s efforts in constructing a new facility, with other New Home Post Awards ranging from interior painting to total reconstruction of the Post Home. The submission for this award included a photo documentary of the reconstruction process, which is now available at the bar for members to experience the “behind the scenes” efforts to construct the new facility.
Commander Tim, PA Department Commander Craig Wilhelm, and New Post Home Chairman Denise Harner were instrumental in the success of the project. The award is a testament to their hard work and dedication to the Legion.
In addition to the New Home Post Award, Adjutant Ray was awarded the Adjutant of the Year award for District 22. In the second year of his appointment as Adjutant, Ray has distinguished himself as one of the best in the state. The Post Adjutant position involves many responsibilities and activities, including membership, office administration, and communications. Congratulations to Adjutant Ray on this award and his representation of Post 15.
The Legion’s achievements are a testament to the dedication and hard work of its members. The Legion continues to serve the community and support veterans in the area.
