WAYNESBORO- Area families are invited to attend The Institute’s monthly StoryWalk® Sundays adventure for kids on Sunday, July 9 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Pine Hill Recreation Area.

Kids join a guided walk and activities along the story trail as they read a story book, then make a special craft project to take home.

The featured storybook for May is “Fireflies, Fireflies, Light my Way” by Jonathan London, with illustrations by Linda Messier.

“Inspired by a Native American lullaby, the Fireflies book has rhyming text that kids love, and features fireflies, beavers, turtles, and other animals, showing the interconnectedness of the natural world,” said Pam Rowland, The Institute’s education director.

The event is free, but pre-registration is required by July 7. Register online at: www.NatureAndCultureInstitute.org

For more information, email [email protected] or call 717-762-0373. Limited to 20 children.

All families are welcome, but activities are geared for preschool and elementary age kids.
