Summer Reading Blast Off!
June 10th 10 a.m. โ 1 p.m. โ Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library invites all ages to
join us for our official summer kick-off. Come sign up for the Summer Program and enjoy fun
activities for the whole family! Including: Registration & Giveaways; Bucket Dunk Challenge;
Refreshments; and Straw Rockets STEM Project (10-11 a.m.). Did you know that the
Summer Program is for all ages – Kids, Teens, and Adults? There are lots of events for the
various age groups, all year round, plus, in the summer everyone can earn reading points for a

Come join us for our Hooks & Needles Program at the library. Our program will give you the
option of bringing with you what you are working on and joining in our group that talks about
their current projects and shares ideas and encouragement. This is a great place to share your
ideas or to learn some new stitching skills. You can also participate in our Making A Pot Holder
class. If you choose to do this, bring along a skein of cotton yarn (any color) and an H hook.

Crafting: Make A Beaded Hair Comb

library Saturday, June 17th to pay your class fee and pick up your craft kit. Your kit will include
two combs, beads, and the wire needed to complete the project. The kits will be offered on a

Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library hosts a parent-led Homeschool Enrichment Club,
where participants in grades K-12 participate in art activities, STEM challenges, and more.
Each week has a different theme, with teens & kids sometimes splitting into groups, or staying
together, depending on the activities. June 1st is the last Homeschool Club until fall! Planned
activities are a student art exhibit and year-end awards.
MakerSpace Days

This summer Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library invites teens & preteens ages 10-18

Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library hosts Teen Game Night via Discord. Teens ages
13-18, do you have a smartphone, tablet, PC, and/or console that you play games on? Do you
have online games to play & no one to play with? Looking for a game to play but donโt know
where to start? Join us on our AHMFL Teen Discord to see what games are happening! We
play online multiplayer games such as Among Us, Jackbox, Unfortunate Spacemen, Gartic
Phone, Minecraft, and more. Put in your vote for what you want to play! To join us, you’ll need
to be a member of AHMFL’s Teen Discord, since this is how we meet up, choose games, &
share codes to access our game lobbies. To become a member, teens must return a
permission slip signed by a parent/guardian. Please contact AHMFL Teen Librarian Miss Gina
at (717) 762-3335 to request a slip. Unfortunately, Discord has a strict age 13+ policy, so we
direct 12-yr-old patrons to try our in-person Game Nights instead, until they turn 13.
