SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — The Shippensburg University women’s soccer team could not maintain a lead late at Shepherd Wednesday, playing to a 1-1 tie in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match.

Shippensburg (0-3-2, 0-2-2 PSAC East) scored early in the first half with a goal from senior Skylar Lambert (Waynesboro/Waynesboro Area) off an assist from freshman Ryleigh Cook (Pottsville/Pottsville Area).

Shepherd (2-3-2, 1-3-1) battled back in the final two seconds, at the 89:58 mark, tying the score off a penalty kick from forward Sarah Hohn.

The Raiders managed only two shots on goal, while sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Molyneaux (Harleysville/Souderton) was credited with nine saves in the contest.

Shippensburg will be back in action at 2 p.m. Saturday at David See Field for a PSAC East matchup against East Stroudsburg.
